Park entry and trail gates open at 10 am and close at 4:30 pm.  The Park closes at 6 pm - all visitors must leave by 6 pm.
Closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Subject to additional closure, without notice, at the Foundation’s discretion.

Temporary Covid-19 Operating Procedures:

  • Picnic tables and water fountains remain closed due to the Sonoma County Health Order. Under the Health Order use of "...picnic areas, drinking prohibited and all such areas shall remain closed to the public access.
  • Park Restrooms are now open and will be cleaned in accordance with County Health guidelines. Please carry your own hand sanitizer.
  • Access to the Park is available by foot and bicycle through our pedestrian gates on Castle Road and Old Winery Road, and by vehicle through our main gate on Castle Road.
  • Anyone entering the Park must comply with the County Health Order:
    • No potential Park user may enter the Park if he or she has any symptoms of COVID-19. See the County Health Order.
    • No potential Park user may enter the Park if he or she has had direct contact with any COVID-19 positive person within the last 14 days.
    • Maintain social distancing; a minimum of 6 feet from any person not part of the same household or living unit.
    • Carry facial coverings at all times and wear them when unable to maintain social distance (including, without limitation, when passing on a path or trail).
    • Do not use any areas that are closed in accordance with the Health Order.
    • Do not engage in any sports or activities that involve sharing equipment with individuals or groups outside their own households or living units.

Group Policy

Advance reservations are required for groups over 10 persons. Please contact (707) 938-2244 to determine if the Park has availability on the day you wish to visit. The Foundation reserves the right to decline any such request.

Dog Policy

The Park is dog-friendly; however, dogs must be on leash at all times on Park grounds and trails. The Foundation reserves the right to exclude dogs and their owners from the Park if they create a nuisance or fail to comply with Foundation Rules or the instructions of Foundation employees.


  • No Camping, Hunting or Fishing
  • No Smoking, Barbecues, or Fires
  • No Loud Noises
  • No Dogs Off Leash
  • No Horses, other than those of Sonoma Valley Trail Rides
  • No Skateboards
  • No Segways or Pushpaks (except for the those used by persons with disabilities, with prior arrangement with General Manager)
  • No Bicycles on Hiking Trails
  • No Littering
  • No Damage to structures, plants or property
  • No Buses or Trolleys
  • No Commercial use of the Park without prior written consent of the Foundation, which may be withheld in its sole discretion
  • Visitors must comply with the Foundation's Group Policy
  • The Foundation reserves the right to require anyone not complying with Foundation Rules or the instructions of Foundation employees to leave the Park.


The designated parking lot for the Park is the Villa Parking Lot located to the left of the Villa off Castle Road (follow signs). Access to Villa, all picnic areas and both North and South Trail Heads.

Note: The Winery parking lot is reserved for winery guests and Wine Garden picnic drop off.
