General Park Information

Location and Hours of Operation

1695 Castle Road Sonoma, CA 95476 Open Daily 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Park entry and trail gates close at 4:30 p.m. Closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Subject to additional closure, without notice, at the Foundation’s discretion.

Group Policy

Advance reservations are required for groups over 8 persons. Please contact (707) 938-2244 to determine if the Park has availability on the day you wish to visit. The Foundation reserves the right to decline any such request.

Dog Policy

The Park is dog-friendly; however, dogs must be on leash at all times on Park grounds and trails. The Foundation reserves the right to exclude dogs and their owners from the Park if they create a nuisance or fail to comply with Foundation Rules or the instructions of Foundation employees.

Rules

  • No Camping, Hunting or Fishing
  • No Smoking, Barbecues, or Fires
  • No Loud Noises
  • No Dogs Off Leash
  • No Horses
  • No Skateboards
  • No Segways (except for the those used by persons with disabilities, with prior arrangement with General Manager)
  • No Bicycles on Hiking Trails
  • No Littering
  • No Damage to structures, plants or property
  • No Buses or Trolleys
  • No Commercial use of the Park without prior written consent of the Foundation, which may be withheld in its sole discretion
  • Visitors must comply with the Foundation's Group Policy
  • The Foundation reserves the right to require anyone not complying with Foundation Rules or the instructions of Foundation employees to leave the Park.

Parking

The designated parking lots for the Park are: 1. the Villa Parking Lot located to the left of the Villa off Castle Road (follow signs).  Access to Villa, all picnic areas and  trailheads. 2. (Coming Soon) the reopened South Gate Parking Lot located on Old Winery Road (entrance on the left as you head to Buena Vista winery). Easy access to Castle Lawn picnic area and South trailhead. Note: The Winery parking lot is reserved for winery guests and Wine Garden picnic drop off.
